The Africa Tourism Leadership Forum and Awards kicked off yesterday in Gaborone, Botswana.

Botswana is hosting local and international tourism industry players for a the 3-day long Africa Tourism Leadership Forum (ATLF) in Gaborone.

The ATLF is held under the theme “Igniting intra-Africa tourism though inclusive intra-Africa trade, partnerships and investment” and “Africa Connects in Botswana”.

ATLF will focus on areas such as MICE (meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), Digitalization, Innovation, and Travel Technology Innovation, Intra-Africa Travel & Tourism Revolution Dialogue, Strengthening Brand Africa’s Competitiveness through a futuristic approach among several other areas of discussion.

The aim of the forum is to amongst other things, advance entrepreneurship, women, and youth empowerment, and recognize industry changemakers through the Africa Tourism Leadership Awards.
