Women In Tourism Botswana kicked off their Commemorations for international Women’s month through their second instalment of the Women In Tourism tutu walk on March 3rd.
Women In Tourism Botswana publicity and communications manager Bokani King said this event was an activation for their next event, The Women In Tourism Botswana High Tea which seeks to bring together women in tourism industry.
She said part of their mandate is to create a platform where women in the hospitality and tourism sector and like minded people can converse and engage on challenges and opportunities that exist with the sector.
Women In tourism Botswana will host their annual high tea at Cresta Lodge in Gaborone on March 25th under the theme “Intensifying women’s entrepreneurship in the tourism value chain.” Through this theme, WIT and women in the industry will get a chance to explore the value chain and create opportunities for themselves and have resolutions that speak to creating impact in the industry.
The event will feature speakers including Helen Chilisa from the ministry on entrepreneurship, Eva Mosetlhane from LEA, Tshepiso Mganga and educator Nametsegang Motshegwa amongst others.
