The Africa’s Travel Indaba trade show has concluded today in Durban, South Africa.
The 3-day show brought together exhibitors from 21 African countries including 10 tourism boards, and 123 Small Business sponsored by South Africaโs Department of Tourism at R11.7 million to feature at the trade show as part of transformation efforts.
Africaโs Travel Indaba is one of the largest tourism marketing events on the African calendar, with the aim of facilitating networking and business opportunities within the African tourism industry. It showcases the widest variety of Africaโs best tourism products and attracts international buyers and media from across the world.
The event provides an opportunity for stakeholders to interact, network, collaborate and share ideas that will enhance the recovery of the greater global tourism industry.
Meanwhile, Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) hosted thirty – seven (37) local tour operators to exhibit under its banner. The operators ranged from luxury tented camps game lodges, hotels, guest houses, mobile safari providers and destination marketing companies.
BTO brought on board Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA)ย & Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) to support and facilitate the travel and tourism industry’s Small, Medium & Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) at the Indaba.
